Rodent Control Services Read on... New Jersey Rodent ControlRats and mice can be a HUGE problem. They can reproduce so quickly and efficiently that their populations can quickly grow out of control. As their numbers rise, the fight for food intensifies, and THAT’S when they invade your property. Weather is also a big factor in rodent infestations, which explains why the fall and winter months are VERY active times for our rodent control programs. Cold weather and periods of heavy rain often drive these rodents indoors and into YOUR property. Especially from a health and disease standpoint, rats and mice are very dangerous to have. Rats carried the black plague in the 14th century, and they can just as easily carry a variety of diseases that you, your family, or your business clients can contract. Also, rats really like to chew on electrical wiring which can easily lead to an electrical fire. The Deer Mouse (a New Jersey rodent) can carry Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome which can be fatal when contracted. You can catch this illness either through direct contact with the mouse, its carcass, or by merely inhaling the urine of infected mice. It's easy to understand why the state and local health departments, as well as the FDA take rodent infestations extremely seriously. Heavy fines and license revocations can be the result for any business with an unmanaged rodent problem.NJ Rat & Mouse ManagementThe first question is, "how did they get in?" A thorough structural inspection of the property should reveal the exact location (or locations) where the rats and mice are entering. Proper repair and permanently sealing the opening will keep new rodents from getting in. Rodents never give up. They will always try to find a way inside, especially during the cold months and rainy periods. Until you properly seal your property off from their access, they will keep coming in and you will continue to have a rodent problem. After your property is properly repaired and sealed, it should undergo a complete sanitation assessment on the property. Poor sanitation may not have been the reason the rodents came inside your property in the first place. However, sanitation issues can severely hamper your efforts to get rid of them. Baiting and trapping are very effective rodent control methods. However, rodents would much rather eat your leftover food and garbage than ANY bait we can use to lure and trap them. Put simply, excess trash, garbage and food compete directly with the trapping bait and MUST be eliminated. We use a variety of methods to bait and trap rats and mice. The old standby has been and continues to be the "rat or mouse trap". These traps use bait to lure the rodents into the trap, which is later removed (along with the rodent) from your property. In addition, modern science has given us specially engineered "single feeding coagulants" which actually alter the genetic material within the rodents. They are killed easily and quickly… WITH NO POSSIBILITY of harming you, your children, pets, business clients or the environment. ![]() Home
